This Privacy Policy explains how Microtica Inc, a company incorporated in the United States (“Microtica”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Microtica Agents website and the Microtica Agents application (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, work email, company, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or are invited to a workspace.
- Billing information — your plan, credit balance, and invoices. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Cloud access you grant — the credentials, roles, or service accounts you connect (for example, a read-only AWS IAM role or a scoped Kubernetes service account) so the agent can investigate the environments you authorize.
- Investigation data — the questions you ask, the cases the agent produces, and the metrics, logs, events, and configuration the agent reads from your connected environments while investigating.
- Usage data — log data, device and browser information, and product analytics about how you use the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies” below).
2. How we use information
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Run the investigations you request and generate cases.
- Process payments and manage credits and subscriptions.
- Communicate with you about your account, support requests, and product updates.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Your cloud access and environment data
The Service is read-only by default: the agent gathers evidence and proposes fixes, and nothing in your environment is changed without your explicit approval. You decide which accounts, clusters, and namespaces the agent can access through credentials you create and can revoke at any time. If you self-host the application in your own cloud account, your evidence, credentials, and cases never leave your environment. See our Security page for details.
4. AI processing
Investigations are powered by AI models. To produce a case, relevant context — such as the question you ask and the evidence the agent gathers — may be processed by third-party AI providers acting as our sub-processors. We contractually require sub-processors to protect your data and to use it only to provide the Service, not to train their models on your content.
5. Sharing and sub-processors
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Service providers and sub-processors — cloud hosting, AI model providers, payment processing, analytics, and email delivery.
- Your workspace — cases and credit usage are visible to other members of your workspace.
- Legal and safety — where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Microtica, our users, or the public.
A current list of sub-processors is available on request. We do not sell personal information.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, after which we delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, unless a longer retention is required by law. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, scoped access controls, and audit logging of agent activity. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@microtica.com. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
9. International transfers
Microtica is based in the United States, so your information may be processed and stored there and in other countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers.
10. Cookies
We use necessary cookies to operate the website and may use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
11. Children
The Service is intended for use by businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
