The inbox
The inbox is where Microtica Agents comes together: every case and every watch, across all your projects, in one list sorted by a single question — does this need a human right now? Open it from Inbox in the console sidebar. You can filter it to one project, but the default view is everything.
One case needs you — everything else is settled or being watched.
The four sections
- Needs you — cases blocked on a question the Investigator asked, plus watches that fired or hit a problem. This is the section to clear; everything else takes care of itself.
- Agent working — no action needed. Investigations currently running. They move out on their own when they finish.
- Settled — since your last visit. Finished cases, newest activity first, so you can catch up on what resolved while you were away.
- On the horizon — watching — no action needed. Your armed watches, soonest review date first, each with a countdown chip like “in 4h” or “by Jul 23”.
Empty sections are hidden. When nothing needs you and nothing is running, the inbox says You’re clear — a result, not a blank page.
Reading and answering
Select any row and its case document opens in the reading pane beside the list — you triage without leaving the page. The keyboard works the way you’d hope: arrow keys or j / k to move, Enter to open the full case, E to archive, R to jump to the answer box when the Investigator is waiting on you.
Archive
Archiving is the clean-inbox action: hide what isn’t relevant. Hover a row and click the archive icon (or press E). Archiving is org-wide — the case disappears from the whole team’s inbox, not just yours — and reversible: a toast offers Undo, and every archived case sits under the collapsed Archived list at the bottom, where Un-archive brings it back. An archived case stays archived even if it was waiting on an answer; it won’t resurface in Needs you.
Watches are dismissed rather than archived, and that works a little differently — see Watches.
Live updates
The inbox updates itself. A case finishing, a question appearing, a watch firing or reporting a heartbeat — each shows up in the list as it happens, over a live server connection, with a background refresh as the safety net. Leave the tab open; it stays truthful.
